Shrouded in legacy, the Air Jordan 5 is one of the most revered models to ever come out of the Air Jordan lineage.
Introduction:
Its lauded P-51 Mustang-inspired design celebrates 35 years of glory in 2025 which means that there are many retros scheduled in the pipeline next year - one being a ‘90s classic - the Air Jordan 5 ‘Grape’.
Not only did the ‘Grape’ colourway serve on court iconography, but rose to mainstream media when it first landed on the feet of Will Smith during the early ‘90s sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel Air. This silhouette became a staple mainstay throughout the show, securing its very own ‘Bel Air’ rendition back in 2018 - which honoured Will Smith’s 50th birthday.
Now this piece of history returns for its fifth signature rendition - and this one is expected to be a must-have for your sneaker rotation.
Design Details:
According to sneaker leakers zsneakerheadz, this rendition promises to stay faithful to its early court design. Crisp white leathers employ a rich feel to the uppers, while notes of ‘Black’, ‘Emerald Green’ and ‘Grape Purple’ work harmoniously on the cushioned Air midsole for an airy feel down below.
The aforementioned tones follow through to the reflective Jumpman tongue and rubber mesh inserts offer a breathable completion to this iconic colour scheme.
Release Date:
Although the release date is still under wraps, we expect the Air Jordan 5 Retro ‘Grape’ to grace our shelves in early Summer 2025. Keep your eyes peeled for further updates on this release.
