Some Jordans return so often you barely get a chance to miss them. The Air Jordan 6 ‘Sport Blue’ definitely isn’t one of them.

Introduction:
After more than a decade away from shelves, the OG colourway is reportedly gearing up for another comeback, with the Air Jordan 6 ‘Sport Blue’ expected to release in Fall 2027. Better yet, this retro could be the closest we’ve come to the 1991 original.
First introduced during the Air Jordan 6’s debut year, ‘Sport Blue’ was one of five original colourways of Tinker Hatfield’s championship-era silhouette. Yet, while pairs like ‘Carmine’ and ‘Black Infrared’ have enjoyed several comebacks, Sport Blue has remained something of a rarity. Its only retro arrived in 2014, meaning sneakerheads will have waited around 13 years for another chance to cop.

Design Details:
For 2027, Jordan Brand is reportedly turning up the OG accuracy. Nike Air branding is expected to return to the heel, replacing the Jumpman seen on the 2014 edition and marking its first appearance on a Sport Blue retro. The shape is also expected to move closer to the original 1991 construction.
Visually, there’s no need to mess with a classic. Crisp white leather dominates the upper, while black detailing brings contrast across the tongue, lining, and heel. Sport Blue then delivers the signature hit across the branding, lace lock, and midsole, before an icy translucent outsole completes the throwback look.
Release Info:
According to zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files, the Air Jordan 6 ‘Sport Blue’ will release in Fall 2027, with a reported retail price of $215. An exact release date has yet to be confirmed.
Thirteen years later, Sport Blue is finally ready to make up for lost time.
