New York’s championship celebrations might have moved on, but there’s still something waiting in the wings.

The Air Jordan 3 ‘Knicks’ is back for 2026, giving fans who secured a summer pre-order another reason to keep checking their doorstep.
According to Sneaker Market Romania, as reported by Sneaker News and Sneaker Bar Detroit, those pairs are expected to begin shipping in December. Official images now offer a closer look at what’s coming.
A Little More New York
Forget keeping the celebration inside Madison Square Garden. This edition brings a slice of the city into the shoebox, with stickers depicting a yellow taxi, subway train, basketball hoop, and Knicks graphics.
There’s a meaningful switch behind the tongue, too. The previous ‘04.08.88’ inscription makes way for ‘06.13.26’, marking New York’s championship victory. It’s a small detail that gives this retro its own place in the team’s story.

Familiar Colours, Sharper Shape
The 2019 colourway’s recipe returns: white leather, Old Royal Blue, University Orange, and Tech Grey, finished with those unmistakable elephant-print panels. Blue and orange appear slightly softer in the latest images, although the official palette remains familiar.
The bigger talking point is the silhouette. A lower collar, shorter heel tab, and lower-sitting tongue give the 2026 pair a more streamlined profile. These refinements follow the direction established by 2023’s ‘White Cement Reimagined’, bringing the AJ3 closer to its 1988 proportions. For returning collectors, that makes the shape worth a second look.
Air Jordan 3 ‘Knicks’ Release Details
Pre-orders opened on 18th June 2026, tying the comeback to New York’s title celebrations. December is the reported shipping window for existing orders, rather than a confirmed general release date. Further SNKRS or retailer drops remain unconfirmed, so anyone hoping for another opportunity will need to await an announcement.
